Yeah, he's one of those Mad Scientist.Playing with only 20 paylines, which is a rarity for BetSoft games, this Mad Scientist game plays with a minimum starting bet of either 0.20 or 0.40 per spin, depending on each casino's coin value setting. The one I played at starts at 0.40 per spin, but it's still not too bad, because the game pays both ways, left-to-right and right-to-left. Moreover, the play lines are selectable, so you can even start playing with just 1 payline, if that's any good at all, hahaha. The Blackboard is the Wild symbol in the game, a dumb symbol sadly, that only does substitution for other symbols except for the Scatter symbol, and not paying anything for itself, not doubling any wins, not becoming stacked or becoming expanded on the reels either. The Switch is the Scatter symbol, paying 250 credits for getting 5 of them, but doesn't trigger any free spins. There aren't any in the first place. Argh!The Beaker is the Bonus symbol, another dumb symbol with no payout whatsoever, but getting 3 or more of them on any active payline triggers 'The Mad Scientist's Great Experiment' Bonus game. Pick 1 of the 4 items to be experimented upon, to turn it into Bronze, Silver or Gold, with corresponding rewards for each kind. Getting 4 or 5 Bonus symbols in triggering the Bonus game, the winnings would be multiplied, but by how much is not indicated. BetSoft paytables are typically very poor at giving full details. The Nuclear Sign is also another dumb Bonus symbol, and getting 3 or more of them on any active payline from the left reels or from the right reels, trigger the 'Bio Pick Me' Bonus game. Yep, to me it's another 'argh' game, but what to do. Pick 1 of the symbols to win from 125 up to 175 credits.The Tesla Coil is the third dumb Bonus symbol, appearing on all reels, but getting them on both reels 1 and 5 at the same time triggers 'The Wild-O-Cution' Bonus game. Hmm, what a fancy name indeed, but one which is very difficult to get, for me at least. Nope, I didn't get any of it, so I have no idea on how it pays, but by triggering the Bonus game, symbols that are between these 2 Tesla Coils are turned into Wild symbols, thereby giving 5-of-a-kind wins, assuming that all symbols are turned into Wilds that is. The symbols in the game pay from 1000 credits down to 10 credits for getting 5 of each kind. Still a low paytable.
